HCF is a proud supporter of two animal welfare organisations, the Animal Welfare Society (AWS) and the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals(PDSA) , which provide a range of essential animal health services to the communities of Philippi and Bridgetown. Both organisations also run mobile clinics, extending care to different areas across the Cape Flats.
We had the pleasure of visiting both hospitals, learning more about their work, and seeing their dedicated doctors and nurses in action. Both organisations emphasised the critical importance of sterilisation in curbing overpopulation, as well as providing vaccinations to prevent the spread of diseases.
It was a privilege to tour their facilities, witness the teams at work, and of course, meet the many furry patients waiting for care.
