On 18 April 2026, our undergraduate cohort met at Acrobranch Stellenbosch for our 2026 Student Adventure Day event. A day for our new and current students to meet, connect, build friendships, and spend time with the DCF team. We had a great turnout of about 19 students from UCT, SU, the Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy, the School of Explorative Architecture, and the Animation School. They were joined by DCF team members Linda, Thuli, Kris, and Nwabisa.
The day was filled with excitement as our students took on challenging obstacle courses and ziplines! What made it truly special, however, was watching them encourage each other and work together to overcome difficult obstacles. They stepped outside their comfort zones, and it was a joy to see their confidence grow as the day went on.
After an exciting morning, we headed to Klein Joostenberg Picnics to warm up with hot coffee and lunch, and spent the rest of the day playing board and card games. It was a relaxed and enjoyable way for everyone to engage and build new friendships and connections.
