The Crossley Foundations welcome its 2023 UCT students

The Harry Crossley and the Doris Crossley Foundations recently attended a special reception event at the University of Cape Town (UCT) to welcome and connect with their undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship recipients. The event brought together the foundation’s trustees and staff, UCT staff and the scholarship recipients in a warm and engaging atmosphere. The reception was attended by trustees from both foundations, including Kristin Larsen, Linda Whitfield, Bernard Osrin and Dr Andy Sherwood. Together with the foundation staff, they had the pleasure of introducing themselves to the scholarship recipients and engage in meaningful conversations.

Daya Reddy, the Interim Vice-Chancellor of UCT, extended a warm welcome to the foundation’s representatives and students. Linda Whitfield, representing the Crossley Foundations, took the stage to deliver a speech that shed light on the origins of the foundations and their unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering students in their pursuit of academic excellence.

The foundations’ reception event not only provided a platform for scholars to meet and connect with like-minded individuals but also served as a reminder of the ongoing support they have throughout their academic journey.

We wish our 2023 cohort much success during the academic year.
