A new year filled with new goals and wonderful projects. The Harry Crossley Foundation is proud to announce some new projects and partnerships starting in 2025.
The Foundation has taken on three new exciting infrastructure projects which includes the funding of the upgrade to the short stay ward at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, a significant playground upgrade at Christel House School which will provide a safe play area for the Foundation phase, as well as an ambitious Technical Engineering Facility at the Wittedrift High School in Plettenberg Bay in partnership with the Hands On Foundation Charitable Trust.
We have continued our support in the welfare sector addressing current issues and concerns around mental health. The Foundation has included Groote Schuur Hospital to the program supporting their “Better Together Adolescent Health Peer Support Project“, as well as the Little Lions Child Coaching project and the SACAP Foundation’s Youth Hub Program. All of these aim to provide support for the younger population and provides support for those at risk.
Lastly we are very proud to have started a new project under our education pillar with Red Cross Children’s Hospital supporting Palliative Care Training. This is another very ambitious program, which plans to see every nurse at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital complete the training program to increase capacity, improve the system and ensure that all nurses in the hospital have the same outlook on palliative care.
We look forward to seeing the impact that these projects generate and wish these organisations all the best in achieving their outcomes over the next few years.
