On 18th July, the Harry Crossley Foundation team came together to honour Mandela Day with a spirit of giving back.
This year, we prepared 24 Santa Shoeboxes, each thoughtfully packed with essentials and small gifts to support and encourage the young people who receive them. A Santa Shoebox is a gift box filled with practical essentials and thoughtful treats, designed to bring comfort, support, and a sense of care to a child or young person.
Each shoebox included:
- Toiletries
- Stationery
- A special gift, either a soccer ball or a pack of UNO cards
Mandela Day reminds us that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. By dedicating 67 minutes to giving back, we hope to honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy of compassion, service, and generosity.
