The Harry Crossley Foundation recently had the pleasure of meeting with its postgraduate students at Stellenbosch University. This year, HCF proudly supports 42 SU students pursuing Honours, Master’s, and PhD programs in various disciplines. The foundation is dedicated to the goal of expanding students’ access to job opportunities through postgraduate education. Additionally, the foundation is committed to advancing knowledge and fostering knowledge production in South Africa by ensuring that students have the necessary financial resources to undertake groundbreaking research projects.
The gathering took place on the 16th of October on the Stellenbosch Campus, where the foundation’s students had a unique opportunity to interact not only with the Trustees of the Harry Crossley Foundation but also with the dedicated team from the Stellenbosch University funding office.
Karen Bruns, the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Stellenbosch University shared insights into the special relationship between the University and the Harry Crossley Foundation. Additionally, Linda Whitfield, HCF Trustee, took the stage to shed light on why the foundation was established and passionately shared its mission and work.
