Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the show Beyond at Theatre on the Bay — a captivating production by students of LAMTA (The Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy), which operates from this very theatre. As proud supporters of the academy and its students, we make a point of attending their productions whenever we can.
Beyond was a vivid showcase of theatrical dance and vocals, with elements of cirque and clowning. The performance featured a variety of dance styles and innovative choreography. It was an artistic fusion of energy, grace, and imagination. Adding an exciting dynamic to the evening were guest appearances by performers from the Zip Zap Circus. Their inclusion brought an extra layer of acrobatic brilliance and spectacle to the show, perfectly complementing the students’ already impressive performances.
Opening night was a resounding success, and it’s always inspiring to see such talent, dedication, and creativity come together on stage.
