The Harry Crossley Foundation is proud to have supported the upgrade of the Intensive Care Unit at the RCCH and in particular the Neo Natal High Care Unit. This unit provides a space for ill babies in the first four weeks of their lives. The unit is filled with state of the art equipment and wonderful professional staff to ensure that the tiny patients who come through the door are provided with the best care available. The Unit provides a purpose-built facility – the right space with the correct temperature and an overall conducive environment for new born infants.
The first infant was admitted in August of 2018. Our thoughts, as always, go to the parents of these little patients and our hope is that the recovery process of each and every neonate who passes through the door, is made so much smoother by the addition of this new unit.
