August 1st marked a proud moment of achievement and joy for the 2025 graduate class enrolled in the ECD Level 4 Qualification through ORT SA CAPE. The day was a celebration of dedication, perseverance, and the promise of brighter futures in early childhood development.
We had the honour of attending the graduation ceremony, where we witnessed each graduate walk across the stage to receive their qualification, surrounded by proud family members, friends, and the dedicated educators who supported them along the way.
The Foundation is proud to have partnered with ORT SA in supporting 21 students on their journey, who began their training in August 2024 and officially graduated one year later. It was a full-circle moment, celebrating not just their qualifications but the transformation they’ve undergone over the past year.
During the event, two of the graduates took to the stage to share moving reflections on their experiences, highlighting the personal growth, challenges overcome, and the supportive community that helped them succeed.
One graduate delivered particularly inspiring words, reminding the audience that this qualification is just one step toward success, “Success is like climbing a ladder, you can’t do it with your hands in your pockets…Keep climbing. This is only the beginning. It was a powerful message that captured the energy in the room – a mix of pride, determination, and readiness for what comes next.
They also took the opportunity to acknowledge and thank the incredible team of facilitators and trainers whose dedication, guidance, and support made this achievement possible for every student.
We are so excited to see where these graduates go next and the impact they will cultivate in the lives of young children within the ECD space. Their passion and purpose are exactly what the sector needs, and we are proud to have played a small part in their journey.
