The Harry Crossley Foundation team recently attended the Investec Philanthropy Breakfast, a networking event that brought together philanthropists and creative artists from diverse fields. The morning focused on the role of the creative arts in driving social impact and development.
The event opened with an inspiring keynote by Lando Xaso from the Moleskine Foundation, who spoke about the power of creativity to influence change and support meaningful development. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Maxine Gray from Investec, Tracy Lynch and Harold Harvey from Clout SA, and Thabiso Mjo, Creative Director of Mash.T Design Studio. The panel shared valuable insights into how art and creative practice can be used as tools for social change and community impact.
The morning concluded with a visit to the Annual Art Fair at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), where the team viewed the work of breakfast participants alongside that of emerging and established South African artists.
