The Doris Crossley Foundation is delighted to spotlight Nandipa Nyivana, one of our DCF undergraduate students who is currently in her final year at the Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy (LAMTA), pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre.
It has been a joy for us to witness Nandipa’s growth in her chosen field. We were privileged to attend one of her outstanding performances where she portrayed the character of Lucy in “COSI,” a comedy set in 1970’s Australia. Nandipa’s on-stage presence and talent left a lasting impression, and we eagerly anticipate her future performances.
Curious about Nandipa’s aspirations as she concludes her final year at LAMTA, we asked her what she was looking forward to:

As I approach my graduation, I am filled with eager anticipation for the vibrant journey that lies ahead in the arts industry. My years as a musical theatre student have been an incredible journey, where I’ve had the privilege to perform alongside and collaborate with exceptionally talented people. Now, standing on the brink of this new chapter, I am ready to immerse myself fully in the world of performing arts. I eagerly anticipate the challenges and opportunities that await me, from auditioning for captivating roles to working on my craft further and contributing my passion to the enchanting tapestry of musical theatre. The prospect of creating, inspiring, and connecting with audiences through the magic of music, dancing and storytelling fills me with excitement and purpose. This is the beginning of a thrilling adventure, and I can’t wait to be out there, sharing my love for the arts with the world.
